Candle care
Candle care instructions
In order to make sure you safely enjoy the candles from te first to the last burn, please read and follow the care instructions.
BEFORE BURNING
- Make sure the wick is trimmed to 1/4" length, before every burn. This prevents fast burning, dripping or flaring and this promotes a steady flame.
- The candle needs to be placed in a safe space. Make sure that when you light up the candle, it does not burn near things or places that can catch fire. (Paper, books, furniture etc.)
- Keep burning candles out of the reach or places where they can be knocked over by children, pets or anyone else.
DURING BURNING
- Never leave a candle unattended.
- Never sleep with a lit up candle. This can lead to serious accidents.
- For safety reasons, a candle should not be burning more than 4H at a time.
- Do not burn a candle all the way down. Stop when there is +/- 10 mm of wax remaining in the jar, the flame needs a solid base of wax to avoid overheating the glass container.
- For the best experience of the scent, make sure that there is no open window for the first 30 minutes of burning.
- If the candle wick is flickering, the flame is out of control and not burning properly. This can be a dangerous situation and should not happen, so make sure you always wick the trim before use.
AFTER BURNING
- Make sure you do not pour water on top when you extinguish the candle.
- Before leaving the room always make sure the candle is completely out and there is no glow coming from the wick ember.
- Do not touch or move the candle until it has completely cooled.
- Candles should be stored in a dark, cool and dry place.
- Make sure your candle is clean before using it again, candles can get dusty easily.
